24-25 SCHOOL YEAR STARTS WITH NEW LEADER, OPENING OF RANUM CAMPUS
When Westminster Public School students returned to the classroom last week many of the scenes were familiar.
Excited students, smiling teachers and parents letting go of their children with tears in their eyes.
But this year also offered a twist; a new superintendent and the opening of Iver C Ranum an Innovation Campus.
This summer Superintendent Dr. Jeni Gotto replaced Dr. Pamela Swanson, who retired after a long, distinguished career as the head of WPS. Last year the Board of Education unanimously selected Gotto, who was serving as Deputy Superintendent, to succeed Swanson.
Gotto is also the parent of a WPS student and started her day at Hodgkins Leadership Academy where she dropped off her son who is starting his seventh year in the district.
Read Dr. Gotto’s first letter to the community and watch a video about her career in education.
It was also a day of firsts on Iver C, Ranum an Innovation Campus where students arrived to begin an exciting new chapter in their education. Read more about the Ranum Innovation Campus opening here.
Welcome back everyone, enjoy the pictures!
